Nintendo R&D4 · Nintendo · 10–16 hrs
Side-scrolling Zelda with an EXP bar, a magic meter, and a death count that ends the file at zero lives. The overworld is a monster table. Palaces are platforming exams. North Palace is not the last palace.
Learn downstab from the knight in the cave east of the start. It is the whole combat system. Grind Attack before palaces; Magic for fairy and shield; Life only after you stop dying to bots.
The hammer opens Death Mountain's blocked path. The flute at the river palace drains a later lake. Hidden Kasuto's three-hit brick house is the magic key — bomb the wall in the 'empty' town.
