Difficulty

Breath of the Wild's sequel with Ultrahand, Fuse, Recall, and a three-layer map. Zonaite spent on Energy Cells will outpace almost any weapon you were hoarding for later.

Tips

  • Start here

    Fuse junk into hammers

A Stick plus a Boulder is a hammer. Spend crystallized charges at a Crystal Refinery on Energy Cells the moment you have a handful; the battery, not the next Sword of the Seven, is the real upgrade.

  • Start here

    Towers, then Depths

Unlock Skyview Towers before you chase main quest markers. Cook Stamella Shrooms with any meat for stamina meals before you start diving chasms; the Depths are a stamina tax first.

  • Advanced

    Recall is infinite height

Recall a falling object, a shield-surfed minecart, or your own Hover Stone and you can climb anything. Gerudo Scimitar of the Seven fused to a Silver Lynel Saber Horn is the late-game melt once durability is no longer the limiter.

  • Advanced

    Zonai devices are ammo

Fans, rockets, and steering sticks in a hoverbike will outrun horse travel across the Depths. Don't hoard devices in the pouch; Autobuild remembers the schematic once you have built it once.

  • Secrets

    Bargainer statues trade Poes

The Lookout Landing statue next to Josha is the only one on the surface. Depths Bargainers sell the Dark armor set and will mark sibling statues if you spend Poes instead of wandering every lightroot first.

  • Secrets

    Yiga schematics match the surface

Yiga chests in the Depths sit under surface camps of the same name. Mineru's Construct Factory is in the southwest Depths; her spirit is the Sage you actually use as a battery, not as a fighter.

  • Bosses

    Gleeoks want eyeball arrows

Keese Eyeball arrows stun each head. After the knock-down, Ascend through a thrown platform or bomb-flower the updraft. King Gleeok is a hoverbike or spring-to-sky fight, not a ground fight.

  • Bosses

    Gloom Hands then Phantom Ganon

Bomb Flowers break the hands before they pile on. Fight Phantom Ganon by circling on clean ground; gloom puddles under Hyrule Castle will eat your hearts faster than his sword will.
