Difficulty
The 2023 remake of the 2005 over-the-shoulder survival shooter. Knife durability, Merchant requests, and Ashley's commands are the new economy; the village is still a long gunfight with a bell.

Parry, then knife
A timed block with the knife stuns villagers for a kick. Don't waste the shotgun on a single villager the kick would have deleted. The village bell (shoot it or the tower) is how the first siege actually ends.

Merchant requests are pesetas
Blue request notes are extra spinels and cash. Sell treasure after combining it (the antique chain with a gem in the right slot). Don't sell the treasure the current request wants un-combined.

Case size is a build
The attache case upgrades are a loadout. A rifle plus a shotgun plus the pistol you actually upgraded will beat five mid guns. Exclusive upgrades (the infinite-ammo rocket is a trophy, the rifle's is a tool) should wait until the gun is fully leveled.

Ashley can wait
The 'wait' command parks Ashley out of grab range. In the castle and the island, 'wait' plus a clear, then 'follow', is how you stop spending knife durability on her grabs. Her armor in the castle is a Merchant buy, not a story gift.

Clockwork Castellans
The little soldier dolls are a New Game+ weapon. Shoot every Castellan on a first run if you don't want to replay chapters. The shooting gallery tokens buy the charms that actually change reloads and knife durability.

Del Lago, El Gigante, Verdugo
Del Lago is harpoons and a boat you should not ram. El Gigante is a flash, then the back, then the knife. Verdugo in the freezer wants liquid nitrogen from the tanks, then a magnum; don't try to knife a Verdugo on Professional.

Krauser is a parry exam
The island Krauser fight is knife parries and a rifle for the windows. Don't empty the magnum into his armor; wait for the opening the parry already gave you.
