Chief's open-zone Ring with a grappleshot campaign and a BR-first multiplayer. FOBs, Spartan cores, and skulls are the campaign upgrades; power-weapon rotation is still the multiplayer.

Grappleshot is movement
Yank yourself to ledges, yank the fusion coil toward you, and don't treat the grapple as a winch for vehicles only. FOBs are fast travel and a vehicle pad; capture them before you hunt the next pair of outposts.

Spartan cores upgrade the kit
Cores buy grappleshot charges, extra grenades, and the threat sensor you will actually use. Audio logs are story; cores are why Legendary stops being a sponge fight.

Melee then shot
A melee into a headshot is still the fastest kill on a cracked shield. Slide-jump with the grapple to break BR lines that would win a standing duel.
- Secrets
Skulls change the replay
Campaign skulls are hidden on the Ring, not in a menu until you find them. Boom, Catch, and Thunderstorm together is a different game; pick them up before you start the Legendary cleanup.
- Multiplayer
Don't challenge a BR with an AR
Battle Rifle at mid range beats the MA40. Power weapons spawn on a timer; play the rotation, don't hunt the other team through their own spawn. Radar pings footsteps, not scoped BR shots.
- Multiplayer
Co-op FOBs still need a driver
In co-op campaign, one player should run the wasp/ghost while the other clears the marine lockers. The Silent Auditorium is a check on whether you upgraded the grapple at all.
