Forza Horizon 5

An open-world racing game about a driving festival set across Mexico.

Playground Games · Xbox Game Studios · 20–40 hrs

Difficulty

An open-world festival racer across Mexico, with seasonal playlists, barn finds, and a tuning layer that matters more than the next car in the autoshow. S2 is not automatically faster than a tuned S1 on a technical stage.

Tips

  • Start here

    Rewind is a practice tool

Use rewind while you learn a dirt crest. Don't buy a new car for every playlist event; a well-upgraded A-class you already own will finish the Festival Card.

  • Start here

    Playlist is the progression

The seasonal Festival Playlist pays the cars and wheelspins the autoshow will charge you for. PR stunts (speed zones, danger signs) are the easy seasonal points; do them before the championships.

  • Advanced

    Soft springs for the Baja

Mexico's dirt wants softer springs and more rebound than a street tune. AWI and traction control can stay on for dirt; they fight you less than a stiff rally setup you copied from a tarmac build.

  • Advanced

    S1 can beat S2

On technical jungle and city stages, a tuned S1 with better tires will beat an untuned S2 that spends the lap in the wall. Match PI to the event, then spend the leftover PI on tires and brakes.

  • Secrets

    Barn finds and expeditions

Barn finds are story pings on the map, not random roadside luck. Expeditions unlock new regions and should be done when they appear, or you will keep wondering why half of Mexico is gated.

  • Multiplayer

    Don't ram in ranked

Horizon Open still has a skill rating hiding under the chaos. Rewind is off online; a clean racing line on a controller is fully viable against a wheel if you aren't using the other player as a brake.
