Ninja Gaiden

A cinematic action-platformer about ninja Ryu Hayabusa avenging his father.

Tecmo · 2–4 hrs

Difficulty

A cinematic platformer that respawns birds behind you until you learn to keep moving. The cutscenes are the reward; the last castle is the tax. Slash while falling or the next bird owns the screen.

Tips

  • Start here

Never stand still on a ledge

Birds spawn to punish hesitation. Jump-slash is your movement. The Fire Wheel (pinwheel) is the only sub-weapon worth holding through a boss.

  • Advanced

The last castle is a resource check

Don't dump ninpo on Act 5 trash. Save a full bar for Jaquio and the demon. A charged slash on the way down beats a panicked standing swing.
