Qix
A puzzle about drawing boxes to claim the screen without touching the roaming Qix.
1991

NES #68
NES #68 · 1990 · E
A platformer about Nemo riding animals through dream worlds on the way to a princess.
Capcom · 3–5 hrs
Capcom at its prettiest on NES. Nemo feeds candy to beasts and borrows their bodies. Nightmares are boss doors. A short, generous cart.
Candy is ammo. Don't waste it on the first mole if a bee is two screens up. Keys hide in the animals' extra rooms.
Some blocks only punch. If a door looks decorative, try the lizard's cling. Extra lives sit on routes that aren't the exit.
