Ghosts 'n Goblins

A harsh platformer about the knight Arthur fighting demons to rescue a princess.

Capcom · 2–4 hrs

Difficulty

Capcom's mean joke: six stages, then the game asks you to run them a second time. The lance is honest. The red archer is why people still shout.

Tips

  • Start here

    Keep the lance

Most other weapons are traps. The torch is for the last boss; everything else is worse than the starting spear. Jump-throw at the peak, not on the way up.

  • Secrets

The true ending is two loops

Beat Lucifer, then the princess tells you to do it again. The second loop is the real map. Continue codes exist — using one is how you learn the graves.
