Duck Hunt

A light-gun game about shooting ducks and clay pigeons while a hunting dog watches.

Nintendo R&D1 · Nintendo · 1 hr

Difficulty

The Zapper pack-in. One duck, two ducks, then clay. The dog laughs because you missed. A CRT still helps; a modern TV needs patience or an adapter.

Tips

  • Start here

Shoot where it's going, not where it is

Three shots per bird. Don't dump them on the first flap. Clay pigeon: track the shadow. The dog is scenery — shooting him is a moral victory only.

  • Secrets

Two-player is one duck, one pad

A second player can control the duck on some modes. That's the party trick. Clean the Zapper's sensor if the TV laughs more than you do.
